I'm a 'New' Outsider Folk-y self taught artist, n I paint on canvas, wood, tin, found objects, with mixed media, ie. acrylic, house paint, shellac, paper, flashmaster/tar...pretty much whatever I can get my hands on. I've been bottled up for years due ta losin my parents to drunk drivers when I was eleven, failed marriages, n a fear of getting out n the world n dyin which I just recently faced n am gettin over, sense having my baby, n watching a shown in which Mrs. Paula Deen talked about her agoraphobia. "Let There Be Light" Gallery Show- Friday February 8, 2008

This is a pre-Valentine's Day show and perfectto acquire a piece for your Loved ones...
Hordoerves and Cider will be served.
New pieces from the body of work Kimberly has been working on will be shown detailing her journey into the light.
Kimberly paints upon tar and found objects...canvas, wood, etc. memory paintings from childhood and life, about her parents' deaths by drunk drivers at age eleven, abusive relationships, and coming out into the freedom and light- finally. She also loves to paint mason jars/teapots and other similar type vessels containing flowers, symbolizing rebirth, the flowers nestled amongst the vessels of her life.

The gallery is located in picturesque Saluda, NC at 5008 US 176 Highway (Melrose Station) near Pearson Falls Rd. Halfway between Tryon and Saluda.
